Two weeks ago some worthless excuse for a human, probably a drunk, sideswiped my 2nd car while it was parked on the street in front of my building. It was a stupid '95 Saturn, but I kept it in excellent mechanical condition. They scraped up the driver side good, tore off the driver's mirror, the mirror bounced on it's cable into the windshield and put a big 6" divot in the corner of the glass. I was fixing it up to sell it for about $2,000, but now that's impossible. I can't recover any of the repair cost from a car that's worth so little, so I have to donate it to some charity and take a tax deduction. I can use the deduction... but damn, it won't make up for the $2K I could have made selling it. I can't report it to my insurance because I have a $500 deductible. The cheapskate insurance agent will probably estimate it at $613 dollars, send me a check for $113, and then my insurance premium will rise. That's not worth it.
Stupid azzholes who have no concern for other people's property. I hope my mirror messed up their car.
