My suggestion: skip the wallet-inferno prix fixe dinners on Valentine's day and go out on Sunday. Buy her a box of chocolates for Saturday and take her to dinner the next night.

I'm going to Balboa on Sunset Sunday evening. They sounded pretty open when I called a couple days ago. Plus, all wine is half off on Sundays at that restaurant.

Funny......I was half kidding about In-N-Out ofcourse, but my roomate took his girl to the McDonald's drivethru!!!!!

Guess its the thought that counts? For some odd reason everyone I talked to ended up going to dennys. Was that the trendy thing to do this year or something?

I went to Catal and got lucky. I told the hostess we had reservations(we really didn't) and got in right away! It would have been a 2 1/2 hour wait for the waiting list.
