Default vacationing in the OC...

so i'm no noob to the socal area, for the last little while i've made the trip in the summer to come down to socal for a week or 2, and usually do all the normal stuff tourists would:

-disneyland/6flags/universal etc etc.

I'll be down there again aug 22, and was wondering if there was something of a "hidden gem" that we might be missing out on there.

Of course we still plan to do the parks again as some friends are coming as well that have never experienced it, but on the other days i'm looking to do some other activities as well. this mostly includes:

1)golf (around OC area, foothill ranch)
2)go karting (my gf and i love the go karts!)

of course we are also open to any suggestions for any fun activities that socal has to provide, so shoot em my way!

thanks everyone

- Las Brisas for brunch at Laguna Beach
- Huntington Beach during the day
- Hollywood Blvd at night
- Santa Monica pier/Third Street Promenade
- The Grove in LA
- Steamer's Jazz Cafe in Fullerton
- In-N-Out everywhere
- Any hole in the wall mexican food joint (in OC, Albertacos in Mission Viejo; in LA, El Taurino or King Taco)
- If you're into the Korean bar scene, K-Town in LA
- If you like live indie/pop music, Hotel Cafe in LA
- Yard House
- Ra Sushi at the District in Irvine/Tustin has a solid happy hour (4-7pm)
- Dave and Buster's Thursday night from 9-11pm for "Asian Night" happy hour (Irvine)

This is all I can think of now. You can find locations through google. Enjoy!

we definately try to hit in n out as much as we can, my favorite spot.

Anyone know of any good value golf courses nearest to foothill ranch? i do try to check the click4teetimes/savesomegreen etc for decent rates, but im just wondering if theres something im missing too. And what about karting, i saw the ad for k-1 karting in irvine...is it worth the dough?
