I think you're going to find that living in any state of the US, you will have to pay taxes pretty much everywhere.

If you move to Vancouver, WA, you get no state income tax. Cross the bridge and do all of your major shopping in Portland, and you get no sales tax. Aside from the rain, it's gorgeous and the property values are still within reason.
