I had a few friends graduating then. I am so glad nothing disastrous happened and that the idiot got caught. I really don't care about his race, as long as justice is served.

Yeah but whenever a Latino or black does a crime, this forum always makes sure the race is mentioned. It's always a Mexican did this or a black did that, not simply this person did this.
Face it dude racism exists everywhere, you are judged by your race. As Carlos Mencia said or stole from someone , tag your it.

I think the whole race things comes into play is because Asians aren't really publicized in the media often. The lack of mainstream press for asians don't occur whether there is positive or negative news. It's only when something heinous occurs that it gets thrown into the spotlight, until then we are a group that usually flies beneath the radar. So when there is a tragedy, I guess many asians hold ourselves to a higher standard and are shocked or upset (not implying that we think we are better then anyone else).
I am sure we are slowly getting there in terms of bad press, we just need a few more pedophiles, murderers and rapists to get us up to speed with the rest of corrupt society.

You should in no way feel "ashamed" for anyone but the perp
himself!!
You are wrapping yourself in the same cloak that people are trying to cast off!!
Would you start feeling negatively toward hispanics if the perp were
hispanic? I would certainly hope NOT. People are all individuals,
regardless of their race, name, size, ability to drive a stick, etc.
(Well, it does seem pretty clear that stick drivers have the higher
intelligence.. )
Please stop all this, "oh, and the guy was _______ (insert race here)"
when referring to a crime. I find it intolerable when people make
some kind of judgment call about me, because I'm white. I am me
more than anything else.
Come on, get with the times! This is the US. The more your point race
out, the more you perpetuate that kind of non-productive thinking.

Kind of off topic...but this reminds me of a guy my dad used to be partners with.
Him and my father were in Las Vegas for a show a few years back, and while walking on the strip they came across a homeless man go figure in Las Vegas. Anyway, my fathers business partner notices that he is Korean just like him, and he walked up to him, said a few words and then walked away.
My father noticed that the homeless man looked down at his feet, and started to get teary eyed and then walked away. My dad then proceeded to ask his business partner what he said to him.
"He is Korean, He is disrespectful to our race being in public like that, he should know better then this and not disgrace his race."
My dad couldn't believe his partner took it that far! Needless to say, my dad never did business with that guy again! Kind of messed up in my book! like kicking a man while he is down!
Who cares what race he is!
