Hey all,

If you would like to browse it, awesome! If not, no worries. Basically my dilemma is my car is making a noise in the morning when cold (watch vids from link), and I've taken it to Ballade and they said it's not their TCT creating the noise (awesome!), but I'd still like to find out what is causing the issue. We didn't let the car sit long enough their for them to hear the noise like a cold morning start so it sounded very faint, and they said my motor sounded healthy. The noise is only VERY apparent on cold morning starts or if I haven't driven it for hours. When the car is warmed up the noise is gone.

Does anyone know any or have been to any trusted mechanics with knowledge of the s2000 that I could bring my car to? I really want this noise to go away as not only does it worry me, but it bugs the shit out of me. I live in Riverside, closer to Corona, so I would love to get your guy's opinion on who I can get to look at this.

I'm a teacher btw, so Mon-Fri would be difficult for me (but doable if needed), Sat is much easier.

Just take it to Justin at Rockstar Garage, hes in Ontario and they're also a s2000 specialty shop like Ballade and open on the weekends

I'm in need of mechanic also. I've talk to ballade and they have good a really good review also on here. I've talk to Alex on phone he is a straight up guy but I've never been to their shop. I'm in between rockstar and ballade as of the moment. Kind of leaning ballade because they also tune?

I definitely recommend Alex at Ballade Sports. I also bought their TCT and it has never given me any problems. They do have tuning capabilities. I had my AP1 tuned by them. Clean shop with expert s2000 knowledge.

I can't speak for other mechanics but Alex and the guys at Ballade Sports do great work. Alex has helped me out big time during some emergencies with my ap1
