Default Train or Carpool to Irvine?

Anyone here work in Irvine or next to John Wayne Airport?

I live in west covina and i'm trying to find a way to commute to work there very soon. The company i'm working for is moving there and I do not want to drive 1hour something each way

I'm thinking about take a train there/bus or carpool with someone. Anyone doing that right now?

My friend works in Irvine and lives in Rowland Hts. He just carpools with the coworkers around the area and they switch between the drivers everyday.

MetroLink is the FAIL train. Public transportation in OC is about as helpful as an armless midget giving a reach-around.

I used to take the train from Fullerton to Irvine (no where near the airport) and had so many issues with it that spending the extra time in traffic was worth not losing my job from being consistently late, and having to leave extremely early.

Traffic to irvine in the moving and traffic from irvine in the evening is terrible... My boss takes the train from oceanside to irvine everyday... seems to work for him pretty good.

Hmm how about carpooling from brea > irvine and back? I'm thinking this I go to work the same time as my wife, then you snag her from the office here in brea and head south to irvine? IDK if that saves some traffic with carpool or some money splitting gas but she drives the wrangler for 12mpg..... horrible.

IDK just a thought.

That's a pretty good idea!

I always see at least 3 other S2ks in the parking lot here at work... but I still never get "sighted"
