Tracks in the LA area?
Hey All,
I was just curious if anyone knew where to find a list of race tracks in the LA area. I'm from the bay area, but I'm down here for work and I wanted to maybe get some track time in, or at least go to hang out at a track down here.
Do all tracks demand that you have a rollcage installed, btw?
Thanks for any comments!

Seems like the guys over at http://speedtrialusa.com/ don't require a custom rollbar for the S2000 for tracking.. sweet. But I can't find any information on when they are open.

All the So Cal tracks allow the S2000 w/out any additional rollover protection. That said, use good common sense.
The only SoCal event I know of for October is Redline racing at Streets of Willow later this month. I've never run with them, so I can't vouch for the experience.
Speedventures will be at Streets Friday Nov 12th if you're still down here. If not, you should join them up at Thunderhill later in the month. It's a great group of drivers, very reasonably priced, and they'll teach you everything you need to know to drive on a racetrack. (First timers will need an instructor, but one will be provided, and it's only $30 extra)
Speedventures also does HPDEs at Laguna Seca and Sears Po... 'scuse me, Infineon. Lots of Nor Cal folks participate.
Just click on the link above in twohoos post. (If you got to a Speedventures event, and are lucky, you'll get to see him driving. John's FAST!!! )
