I was terrified that I was going to destroy my car when I went out for my first track session (at Cali Speedway, as a matter of fact). 5 minutes on the track and that fear was completely gone--replaced with a giddy happiness. Always good to have some fear though--being cavalier about hurling thousands of pounds of steal along the asphalt is no good.

If your car is in good working order, you get a good night's sleep, and you stay level-headed, you'll have a blast. Don't worry.

First session out--ride with someone from an advanced group (or get instruction) to learn the line--makes for a smoother day.
