Took my S2000 to the track for the first time...
First of all, the guys at Speedtrial USA are great and they threw on one of the best events I have ever been to; a night event is pure genius. Ever since I recently purchased my used 2002 S2000, I have wanted to actually see how it will perform on the track. I haven't been to SOW for several years before this and never drove an AP1 on the track. I took it easy for the first two sessions, but by the 5th and 6th session, I was pushing the car nearly 9/10ths. The undersized rear tires were giving up towards the end of each session, however, the car was very well balanced and never needed more than neutral steer to get the rear planted again. I shifted at 7.5 to 8k every time, only because I feared that my motor with 152,xxx miles would drop a valve.
I would definitely recommend going to the track with your S2000 if you haven't done so already. There were plenty that were there, and all were skillful drivers. I believe that the S2000, right out of the box, is a great track car, and an even better car to learn how to drive in.

Modifications done days before the event:
StopTech Street Performance Pads (Front Only) - did not experience fade at all. High bite, was able to brake late. I drive on them on the street as well.
Motul RBF600 Brake Fluid
AP2V2 Wheels
225/45/17 RS-3 Front and 235/40/17 R1R Rear (Couldn't say no to a good deal)
AP2 Low Mileage Shocks with Swift Sport springs
Alignment from Drift Speed - Front: 2 Degrees Camber, 6 Degrees Caster, 0 Toe; Rear: 2.5 Degrees Camber, 1/4" Toe total

Did not having timing, but from the videos, it looks about 1:34-5 depending on time of day/night. Also, bare in mind that this is the first time I have driven the track clockwise and first time driving the AP1. I hope I can improve my times with the help of data and experienced drivers.
