I think a lot has to do with back in the 70's, people were all in to this free love shiet, and getting married for no real reason. Then it created a domino effect for their children that saw their parents give up easy, so they figured it is just normal to do so.

I dont know, I am talking out of my ass here.

My ex, her parents (26 year marriage) got a divorce in 99 for the Sheree purpose of her stating "I want to have fun". Her mother re-married in 02 then got another divorce in 04. Started dating again immediately afterward and now she is all alone cuz that guy realised she is an idiot. She said "I guess marriage isn't cut out for me" Wow, it took you that long to figure that one out? after realising you want to have fun? lol

my ex and I broke up around the end of 04 because she was out having "fun" at my hearts expense, if you know what I mean. I really think it is a snowball effect that is making the divorce rate higher then normal. Parents are becoming really poor roll models for their children and taking the easy way out.

What ever happened to "for richer or poor, and in sickness and in health"??? it's utter BS to even have a marriage these days because what we say in gods house doesnt even mean squat now.

Not to get too off topic, but i think religion helps marriages too. I started going to church. It helps you put things into perspective intead of trying to hump on every other girl you see.

ps. i also feel that your surrounds helps a lot. moving out of LA is one of the best things i have done. KTW will ruin your marriage in a heart beat...
You go to church looking for some:

with young Church girls.
