hello.
i have this car that i'm trying to pick up in LA.( i live in WA)
and here is a little problem.
seller told me he already paid off his car just recently, and he's title is on the way, and i guess it takes about 2~3 weeks?, and i'm flying there tonight.
is there anyway that i can have any kind of official form of him releasing title to me?Or all i can do is just seat and wait until title comes to his hand?
any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

 

You can fill out a duplicate title and transfer form that is readily available at the DMV

 

write your own bill of sale to cover yourself also.

 

Find a Bill of Sale on the internet. Just google it.

Take pictures of the seller.

do i need WA bill of sale? or CA bill of sale because i'm buying a car in CA?

I know the driver needs to use his state's Bill of Sale.
