wow thats a lot of beaches to pick from but thanks a lot ppl. Hopefully this trip will convince me to move to so cal. Any tourist area you guys recommend?

Santa Monica
Disneyland
Hollywood and Sunset Blvd.

If I had to narrow the beaches down, then in LA = Venice, OC = Newport.

Sorry to 'up in dis thread' but I'm sorta in a holding pattern here at work.

^ the sd folks probably have a better idea with that.

since youre from new york, go to langers deli and try some pastrami there. fair warning though, not the best neighborhood.

if you want some museum stuff, the getty museum is cool. great views and cool stuff there.

sd gas lamp is nice place to walk around and bar hop.
