Is there a time of year with serious discounts?
My wife and I are looking into getting a new car (she wants a mini). well, we've heard that near the end of the month is a good time to go as salespeople are trying to fill their quotas or goals and so might be willing to deal a little better. with this same logic, would the end of the year offer better bargains as well?

we got an '04 accord with every option during the last week of december of 04. we paid something like $1k under sticker and only negotiated for 30 mins. so yeah, i think they were trying to meet year-end quotas.
