That's kind of far. You're in a very isolated part of Anaheim too.But it isn't so much the distance. I'm more concerned about you not being familiar with the LA area. If you spent most of your life in OC and not ventured out to L.A., it can be a bit intimidating. I spent equal amount of time in both LA and OC, but even I got stuck behind the "Orange Curtain" after living in Costa Mesa for 2 years. Not there anymore but I can see why this happens.

You may want to take someone with you who's more familiar with LA if you go.
