Hows the AP2 tranny feel in the AP1?

it feels a little shorter and smoother than the ap1 .... but my ap1 was going out so im not sure how much smoother it is ....

i got it from R&D Factory they found it and did the install

did you consider swapping the AP1 primary gear reduction onto the AP2 tranny? it would have kept the same AP1 1-4 gearing, taller 5th and 6th for hwy, and smooth synchros of the AP2.

that would be the dream tranny combo for me. i like the prolonged VTEC of AP1 gearing, but wish it wouldnt be so high revving on the high way for better mileage. theres always a downshift for power


btw, putting the stock AP2 tranny in is like bumping your FD to 4.27 from 4.1. because of that primary gear reduction of the AP2.
