Dont buy a plasma tv now. You will look like an idiot. You can get an LCD for the same price. Samsung now has one in 40". LCD's look much better and wont burn out in 5 years like plasma. Sony also has one out but its grossely over priced. There will be a shitload more starting in August.

sorry i am a tech junkie also so i had to chime in.
i prefer lcd tv's myself, but for my own reasons that i won't state here, but plasmas are awesome too, definitely wider viewing angle and good saturation.
