music is a well-known song. Became popular when it was used with Jet Li's films "Once upon a time in china" 1-2-3. All good, btw.
If I remember my hisotry correctly, TKD was invented in the 1960s, so it's pretty new. It's mostly feet (and lotsa high jumping kicks), not a lot of hand techniques, no weapons. Having some experience in competitions, I've generally found that the style is secondary to the fighter at the lower levels. I've been pounded by TKD guys and squished thai boxers one day, and the next was the reverse. Once you get to a more elite status (I only trained for a few years) I think it's different, but on a more basic level it comes down to the fighter.

I still cant understand why people think TKD is superior to other sports

Slicknick, I believe you are a bit bias considering the fact you have done Muay Thai for 1.5 years. Don't get me wrong Muay Thai fighters are lethal but
1. put the top Shaolin Monk vs the top Muay Thai fighter and Shaolin will surely win and
2. you can't definately say a Muay Thai fighter will beat ANY other fighter. I guarantee you Bruce Lee would have whooped their asses in a 1v1 fight. Just because they kick bamboo trees to shreds with their shins and flying knees don't make them unbeatable.
I'm not saying that it might not even be a close fight because it may be, but in the end a Shaolin Monk will own. If you don't believe me, watch some of their elites practice. They fight 3+ people at once. Also, Muay Thai would get owned if a Shaolin monk decided to use a weapon. A bamboo stick, grand staff, double daggers, etc would make a Shaolin Monk lethal.
And that is a famous song for Chinese martial arts as it has to do with a very heroic martial arts fighter in Chinese movies often portrayed by Jet Li.
