T-Mobile users?
Hi
I'm considering switching over to T-Mobile from Verizon. I love Verizon but the Blackberry plan on T-Mobile is a fraction of the cost. How is the T-Mobile service, reception, customer service, etc?
Thanks for your input!

i have t-mobile, and i really don't have any problems with them. i only have a small problem at my work which kinda sucks but then again no one's cell phone works here so that probably can't be blamed on them. otherwise they have the best prices around. i have 1000 anytime, and unlimited nights and weekends for 40 bucks, but you gotta wait for that special. actually i don't find it any different than cingular when i used to have them.

I switched over to T-Mo from ATT for 12 hours. I had ZERO reception from t-mo the only reason I went there was because I loved the new blackberry phone it was awesome. So just my $.02 I wouldnt get t-mo. BTW I live in San Diego so I dont know if it is different somewhere else. I do so now that I went back to ATT I got an insane plane for very cheap and the service is just awesome now that they have merged with Cingular. Again just my opinion.

I switched from Cingular to T-Mobile after being with Cingular for about 4 years. Can't tell if there is a difference in signal strength from T-Mobile and Cingular. Customer service is better than average. Can't say the same for Verizon. But the big selling point for T-Mobile is their service plan rates. Mine is:
600 anytime minutes
Unlimited nights and weekeneds
Free Motorola V300 Phone + a $50 rebate
$39.99/month

My wife & I had T-mobile for one year and the reception was very poor when we're home. If you live in a canyon/hills area, you may have the same problem. For the one year we had the service, we rarely get to use the phone while at home . It works well elsewhere and away from the canyon areas. I checked with T-mobile several times and they said something about the location where I am at is "between the service areas, so the signal is weak." Before we got T-Mobile, we were with ATT and it was okay. Anyhow, we got Verizon over the weekend and it seemed to be working well so far (receiving & placing calls). Good luck.

I like my T-mobile service. I even get service in the elevators at my office.
This is my plan (don't know if they offer it but you have to go to one of those small mom/pop shops to get it, most preferably asian phone store that gives you a lot of freebies)
1000 Anytime
Unlimited Night
Unlimited Weekend
Free Roaming
Free Long Distance
Free Samsung - Tax waived too!
Free Leather case
Handsfree Set
Car charger
+ $100 rebate! (so basically they paid me $100 to switch)
Rate: $39.99 month
Blackberry on T-mobile is definitely the cheapest way to go!

Wow it seems like a mixed bag. I guess everything is a personal experience.
The plan on T-Mo that I'm looking at is unbeatable:
1500 anytime minutes
unlimited blackberry email (up to 10 accounts)
unlimited text messaging
unlimited instant messaging
$79.00
plus then there is the cost of the phone but it comes with all the fancy do-dads.
The plan on Verizon would give me:
300 LESS anytime minutes but unlimited night and weekend minutes
for $45 MORE
and $100 more the phone!
Most importantly, I can still keep my # since my contract expires this month.
I think I will switch...
