Dude, One of my mom's friends works in the purse department at Saks 5th Ave. and her highest year she pulled in $65K not $200K+. Too far fetched for me to believe a shoe salesman makes over $200K.

dont say that! you will offend estukaye and he will start using vulgar language towards you.
Apparantly, he has the Al Bundy syndrome.
Ugh dude, Backcracker said it was hard to believe and unrealistic. You said ''What the hell are you talking about'' Treat others like you want to be treated, or is that a new concept for you?

BC, I find it hard to believe too, but from what my gf tells me, they run it like their own business, I guess its this romainian lady that works at the Nordstroms at South Coast Plaza, sells a lot of shoes to studios, movie industry etc. My gf also tells me this shoe salesperson has 2 assistants!

S2k_Fever, its hard to believe. But not too long ago, I would of found it hard to believe they made 65k a year selling bags. I also thought it was BS that a shoesaleman can make 150k a year! Then I went to his beautiful house in Hollywood. Of course you have to be a hustler to make 150k, but this guy I know he has dinners with clients, they give him xmas, bday gifts. Shopping (especially for shoes) is very serious to these rich ladies!

i work for a bank and have a lot of customers and this one guy told me that when he first came to america, he made over 6 figures skycapping.

skycapping = curbisde assistance at airports, unloading luggage from the cars for departing passengers.

i asked him how do you figure? Well so the story goes...

Skycappers are unionized workers so they get paid well by the hour like grocery store cashiers do. Anywhere from $15 to $20 per hour in addition to full benefits, retirement/pension plans, medical and dental. So lets just say you help out 10 people per hour and you average about $2 tip among the departing passengers. You are basically making $25 per hour and only $15 of is taxed and the rest is cash. Now the key is that you work at a busy airport like LAX and you can more than definitely help more than 10 passengers per hour. You can probably help about 20-30 passengers in an hour.

You calculate that out and you hustle your butt unloading baggage, you can make good money...
