Why not just try to rob a bank or something? You could always see if that works and then if not go with plan B.

I would agree with, if life is that "bad, or tight" rob a bank and if it fails then plan B

I think you have to have a really poor view of yourself to value your life at being worth less than 750k
that's an awfully fuc*ed up thing to say. i'm guessing you dont have a wife and family, or even understand what it means to sacrifice yourself for the people you love. the questions wasn't whether or not he placed the value of his life at that much or less, its whether he was reduced to that last option to provide for his family.

anyways, its a tragic thing to come to. thats truly very sad.

There was a movie with Tom Cruise in it that had this same concept. I think it was called Minority Report. So the idea is not new to me. But to answer your question, i think it depends on what culture you are accustomed to. I know in old world Japan, suicide was honorable in the correct circumstances. Don't know anything about the person, but I dont think any insurance company should pay out suicide no matter what.
if you think minority report was even remotely close to this situation, i suggest you read this. minority report and this have absolutely nothing in common.

You never know how you'll react until you find yourself in what seems like a hopeless situation with no way out...RIP

You know what, F my previous comment. I'd rather have my kid be poor and have me around for me to raise them right rather than for me to be gone and them being raised by someone else.

Poor guy, but he went out like a sucka.

A client of mine, just came in and told me her son's coach committed suicide. Here's the catch. He has a AAA policy, (which I do too) that states that after 2 years of coverage, suicides will pay out.

Now, from our understanding, his house is being forclosed, and the family ran out of money. Wife, 9 yr old and 6 yr old are the survior.

Its the same guy that you saw on the news on Sunday, and jumped in front of the train.

Suicide to save the family? The policy is going to pay out 750,000.00.

What are your thoughts?
