correct me if i'm wrong the front brace fits underneath the car???
i'm looking for something affordable (under $100), that may help define where i stand on bling or performance.
thanks to all for posting and PM'ing....we'll see what happens.

I haven't been tracking STB prices, but $100 doesn't buy much bling . My personal preferences are towards the performance side, and I think the x-brace had the single biggest improvement on my car, as well as the best bang for the buck.
Here is a link to my old page of JD guides - there is a link on there to my page on crossbraces - at the top of the page you can see the x-brace and cusco subfram brace installed:

I have the same Neuspeed and like it too.
My understanding about the x-braces was that they prevent the engine from dropping down in a head-on collision. Or they would deter them and possible push them into the cabin.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

i have the comptech x-brace and that greatly reduced my understeer.
strut bars are not bling...they reduce chassis flex when taking hard turns.

A strut bar or better known as "shock tower brace" (we don't have struts) has been proven ineffective. You see that big arse piece of steel that sits behind the airbox? That's the mother of all chassis braces.
Knowing this, I still went through two tower braces, not for performance but for bling and it gave me something other that the airbox to lean on while working on the car.
Not trying to argue here. Just trying to answer the guy's question.

if you think about engine being dropped... don't you think it's dangerous?.. specially for a vehicle behind you.. let's say, your driving on the road and all of sudden a vehicle(s2k) involves in collision and your about to run over a engine that was dropped from a vehicle front of you.
also, with a collision.. the engine will just crack.. just like a rod going thru the block.. engine is made of aluminium not like a steel.

Even if the engine did drop..it wouldn't clear the S2000 underbody anyway. I don't think any engine would clear any car if it were to drop...But the engine could drop enough where it isn't touching the ground or clearing the car but enough where it dosn't ram into the cockpit?
