Hey, I was in Colorado for 5 days. What did I miss?
Oh yeah, this:
Seriously, that was a hell of a series. The Suns did to the Lakers what the Houston Rockets did to the Suns in 1995, so don't feel too bad about it.
I never make predictions in these situations, because I've up and down with the Suns over a period of 30 years. However, I watched almost every Suns game this season on NBA League Pass, and I fully believed that the Suns were going to win the series, even after game 4. Watching them play this season, I learned how they do it. The only team that can stop them are the Spurs.
The Lakers played great in games 1-5, so you have a lot of great stuff to build on. After filling some gaps, and getting more playoff experience for the young guys, I'm sure the Lakers will be in top condition over the next 2-3 seasons.

i give it to the suns...they have heart....thats one thing lakers and KOBE does not have..
thats why Nash should be MVP....for most of the game..kobe was nowhere near the ball....
winners always want the ball...playmakers always want the ball..
the last two games....that wasnt what kobe was....he needs some mentoring by maybe...magic johnson...

u bust on kobe for "not wanting the ball" but i bet you would be one of the first to bust on him for "shooting too much" if he did shoot a lot and the lakers still lose.
"thats why Nash should be MVP....for most of the game..kobe was nowhere near the ball...."
lets see...
Steve Nash POINT GAURD
Kobe Bryant SHOOTING GAURD
oh yea, btw.. pistons v cavs game 1.. lebron had 4 shots, 0 pts in the second half while losing by almost 30 points. i guess he is also heartless, selfish, threw in the towel, etc..
oh but no... lebron is the second comming, King James, the greatest to ever play the game when he is finally done playing....
please...
bandwagoners, stay the fvck off and go jump on the clippers bandwagon.
if you criticize kobe, do it all you want.. but dont come with the weak shit like "selfish, arogant, etc..." that shit is just old...

I agree with klee about a couple things.
The definition of a NON-bandwaggoner is someone who sticks with the Lakers even during their crappy seasons like last season and this one. It just so happens that for the Lakers, a "crappy" season is any one in which they don't win a championship.
What went wrong for the Lakers was not directly Kobe Bryant's fault. This team was too young, and they weren't ready to provide the energy and determination to close out a quality opponent after a 3-1 series lead. Fighting harder when your back is against the wall, and slacking off when you have the advantage are natural human reactions. It takes experience to overcome that. A champion who's been through it before knows when he is in danger of becoming complacent. Kobe Bryant was the only player on the Lakers who fit that description, and the others just didn't have the experience to see the danger in it.
For the question on whether Kobe has any heart... Who cares? I think it's a stupid question because all that really matters are results. I still think Michael Jordan never had any heart, because he played with such robotic precision. He was simply so much better than 95% of his opponents that it didn't matter whether he had "heart" or not. If he plays with robotic perfection, and you rarely see a trace of emotion on his face, then what difference does it make to us? He might have heart on the inside, but it's irrelevant to the spectators. That's sort of how I feel about Kobe.

Congrats to the Suns. They never gave up. They played their asses off for 3 more games. Too bad Game 7 didn't turn out to be as explosive as most of this series was.
Although I'm , I'm still a Lakers Fan for life.

us laker fans are use to winning, i guess some aren't patient w/ this 2 year slump... we'll get back on top again... on a sidenote
How the freak did kobe end up 4th in mvp balloting? sure he was 2nd w/ 1st place votes.. but he ended w/ 4th over all... he's the best scorer in the league, had arguable the best season of his career, he even got current and former players talking about his abilities on air... and yet the media plays him like that? I didn't expect him to win. I thought he'd get atleast second or third behind nash and lebron (media favorites)... but fourth?!
Must take a special person to commend so much hatorade from the press.
