Default Stock or Modified for Carmax?

It's that time where I have to decide whether I want my s2000 or pay off all my credit cards

I'm going to Carmax to see what they will offer me.

My question is, should I bring my car completely back to stock or leave as is?

What do you guys think?

Ron

Probably worth more to them stock since they can sell it to someone who's older and doesn't want the mods.

I would try to sell the car privately first as you'll lose $2000 selling it to Car Max.

BTW -- This is easily the most clever way of a guest posting a FS thread I've seen in a while.

Your right, I should put in a little effort and try to sell privately first, especially if it could mean a $2k difference. I'll let you guys know how it goes!

Go there and get their quote, it's good for 7 days, so you can leave. I know two people were happy with what they got offered.
