first time to autox at cal speedway with speedventures. could use some info like how many laps you get to do, format, do they have instructors, helmets for rent?

Are you talking about the 1st weekend in December event that coincides with a charity car show and Speedventures track day? Website says its 80 bucks for all day from 10am to 5pm. I'm bringing my own helmet since loaners usually don't fit my 23" head very well.
I don't think many autocross events have instructors. What's the fun without learning for yourself anyway?
