Hey guys, i got a question for anyone that's done a soft top replacement/frame replacement.

I have an 02 (rear glass window) and my frame for my top became damaged some years ago, and i'm finally getting around to replacing it. Question is, i also bought a new soft top, being that mine has 2 small tears in it. I wanted to know if it was possible for me to simply install the new top on the new frame, then swap out the bad frame and bad top as a whole, then install the new top/frame as a whole as well. Or would i have to just cut out the old top, uninstall the frame, put the new frame in, then install the new top.

Reason i'm wondering is, i'd like to be able to start the top install on the new frame, that way if i dont finish i dont have to worry about not having a top on my car if i dont finish tomorrow. So i'd just be able to finish on sunday, or during the week if necessary. Make sense? any input much appreciated
