A few people I know just picked up some Panerais, but that is probably a bit to expensive if you're looking for a first watch.
Daddy Likes Panerai...

I understand the desire for more Blang & Bling!

Panerai was founded in 1860 by Giovanni Panerai (1825-1897) in Florence using highest quality Swiss mechanicals; to my understanding this is still a Panerai family business making top quality and visually stunning watches (IMO).

Understood - Panerai is probably not a family business anymore... Thanks!

Panerai is also a Scuderia Ferrari licensed watchmaker; real nice cars, real nice watches.
