hmm.... have to check... may have the owner from over-seas in. If not, then I am down. I'll find out today and report back.

All,

I live nearby and have been there a couple of times. If the visibility is good the snorkeling is great. If the surf conditions have stirred up the bottom it really isn't that good.

I assume you are planning to head out from La Jolla Cove. Just north of there is La Jolla Shores beach. At the Shores there are a number of places that will rent you equipment. The same shops also rent kayaks, which are also a lot of fun. Perhaps you could use that as a contingency plan if the visibility is bad.

I might be able to go if the time is correct. When are you guys leaving LA? When are you arriving down here in San Diego?

Why not add a thread for this in the San Diego section? I just happened to see the posting on my way to the SD section of the forum.

Cheers - Keith

i'm looking forward to snorkeling this weekend!

but is 10am realistic? to leave at 8am is gonna be early for me. id like the day to warm up a bit before going in the water anyway.
8am is sleeping in for me

The water really isn't going to warm up that quickly anyway, that's why you need a wet suite.
