Since I'm fairly new to SoCal...
I have no idea what to do in LA.
This is going to be a second date and I live near Manhattan Beach/El Segundo area.
Any ideas on what to do?
Wouldn't mind traveling a bit towards inland or something, just need some ideas.
Anyone?

im taking it youre korean.
have you heard about the redondo beach crab place? (seems like every korean does) good maeuntang and hwaedupbap. crabs are good too, but expensive. dont bother with the sashami platter, they got some gross stuff on there. go to the one near the end of the pier, not the blue signed one, ive not seen anyone in there... everyone goes to the yellow signed one that says "hanguk hwaejip". its much bigger too.
also near redondo is cheesecake factory. like any other cheesecake factory, i wouldnt recommend it other than if you sit outside, the patio is nice because its right next to the boats. of course they have heaters, but its a good excuse to sit closer while eating.
hermosa is where the nightlife is. comedy club is there. and lots of small bars/clubs from classy to somewhat trashy.
if youre in downtown LA, go to the westin bonaventure hotel. its a rotating lounge at the top floor. very impressive. get the cheesecake.
in venice beach/marina del rey near where you are theres a fun irish bar called Brennans. they have turtle racing i think on thursday nights only. its cool, you get to "rent" a turtle to race, but then you have to choose a girl who will "gently" place the turtle to race (they have rules to maximize spectator appeal...).
then of course theres santa monica's 3rd street promenade. lots to see there i guess. im sure you can find something to eat and then just walk around and enjoy the sideshows. its a bit of a must do date place eventually.
a daytime event would be to go to the getty, north of 10 on 405. its free entrance, just pay $7 parking. the grounds are super well landscaped and the architecture is pleasant and of course so are the galleries.
and now you must show us a pic of her.

where and for what?
it says you're in Marina Del Rey
for food, there's a few places.
Wharo Restaurant(korean)
Warehouse[seafood, steak, pasta(overlooks the marina)]
top it off with pinkberry's right down the street from there for dessert.
just a small suggestion
