Default Should I sell my IS350 or keep it?

Hey guys,

I want to get all your opinions about whether I should keep or sell my IS350. In the past I was wondering about the same for my S2000 and I end up keeping it. Why do I want to sell it? I drive about 100 miles a day (freeway), which is ok on the car. The car runs great and has no problem what so ever. Because I drive a lot and I think I will depreciate the value of the car real quick. Why don

Danny,

This is exactly what I have in mind and this is why I post to make sure I don't make the wrong decision. I didn't know I had to work that far when I got the car in the first place and now I'm working at a good company but it's just that much further away. I guess I can always buy another when in the future when I'm successful.

i think about the same scenario with my IS250. I would be out $6K in depreciation already. STINKS!!!! But I would finally be upgrading to a Cayman, so there goes the money saving incentive. The only thing preventing me would be the fact that I have no garage...anyone have a spare spot???

kinda depends on your goals and such. Would you feel less happy, less comfortable driving a Fit as your daily? DO you get a lot of joy driving your IS and wouldyou miss that? If not, I'd get a beater and save the $ for a nicer car, mods or down payment for a house.

For me, the S was the splurge (my daily is a '92 civic - maybe in a coupla years I'll upgrade to an '04ish CR-V). I'm now saving up for a bigger down payment on a condo I'm gonna buy and use as a rental, and after that, I hope to sell my current place and get a single family home (no more shared walls!).

I'd have to say my opinion is different on this. I would keep the IS because that would be the only thing that keeps me sane in such a long commute. When I had to commute far before I had 2 cars. I still ended up driving the S2000 1-2 times for my commute a week just because I missed my car. A luxury car like a Lexus would be perfect for a long commute.
