well i dunno if its me, if its the car, if its the vibration from the road affecting the shift now, if its 50 cent coming threw the radio; making me want to bust a cap, or if its from the heat of the sun? i dunno to many different things affecting my shifting. I jus bought a team vodoo shift knob from ricks so well c if this improves

the reason i asked was because i was driving my friends 996 GT3 the other day and i was able to shift into gears with my wrist and without really throwing my arm. thats all if it cant be done or there is no benefit i wouldnt even bother.

Personally, I don't like short shifters. Most of them are poor in quality and seem to lead to more gear grinding than anything. Of course it's possible but the S2000 shifters are one of the best around, it's frequently commented on even when compared to Porsche, BMW, etc.. Why would you want to change that? It's already short enough IMO, the S2000 isn't a drag car so shortening the throws isn't going really going to help.
What I do recommend is a countersunk or heavy shift knob, you'll notice a difference with that IMO.

I have the ARC Ti shift knob...To me this is the perfect setup...
