short shifter?

Default short shifter?

can the s2000 shifter be any shorter? I want the throw to be even shorter. IS this possible?

Personally, I don't like short shifters. Most of them are poor in quality and seem to lead to more gear grinding than anything. Of course it's possible but the S2000 shifters are one of the best around, it's frequently commented on even when compared to Porsche, BMW, etc.. Why would you want to change that? It's already short enough IMO, the S2000 isn't a drag car so shortening the throws isn't going really going to help.

What I do recommend is a countersunk or heavy shift knob, you'll notice a difference with that IMO.

The answer to your questions is yes. Rick's has a short shifter for sale. I have it, but perfer the stock shifter with a Voodoo knob.

I might need cause sometimes it hits my 40 ouncers (did the 40 ouncer cupholder mod) More common on FWD cars though no?

UNHEALTHY


I like the shifter throws as it is but I wish they felt tighter/more mechanical. I don't know if my description made any sense..

Yes. PM Sarek. He's got one and it feels pretty good. It shortens the throw just a bit. This is his second short shift kit. The first was just way to short.

He too has a VooDoo shift knob, the magnum ti one.
