Service Contract
I was cleaning out of my car and found my old Contract for my s2000. While i was going through it I noticed "F. (Optional Service Contract*) $1295.00 - * Seller may keep part of these amounts.
Is this just profit for the dealer? is this the norm to pay?
Thanx for all replies

Yes.. Depending on the term and what type of Vehicle Service Contract (aka Extended Warranty) you purchased when buying the vehicle.. This is additional Protection for your vehicle that starts the day you buy it, in the event of repair and breakdowns, not an Extended Warranty that starts after your Manufacturer's Warranty. This protection plan is a plus, and benefit considering the price you paid.
$1295.00 can equal price out of pocket repair for transmission work..
Hopefully when you purchased the car, you were aware of purchasing this protection plan.
