San Diego Hwy S2 Desert Cruise 6/6

This will be a cruise and not a run! I don't want any accidents or tickets on the way! I'm posting the rendezvous date and time here because I fully expect us to be CHP-compatible.
After some private discussion we've decided to schedule the Great Southern Overland Stage Route run on Hwy S2 for Sunday morning June 6th. The run was previewed in this thread. We will meet at Lake Henshaw at 7:30 a.m. and depart by 8 no matter what, to beat the worst of the desert heat. That should put us at Barrett Junction for a buffet lunch shortly after noon. We will stop and regroup twice along the way, once at the Carizzo Badlands Overlook, and again at the Hwy 94 exit from I-8.
vtec914 is planning a Palomar mini-run beforehand, leaving from the J.C. Penney parking lot at North County Fair at 6:15. Hockey's group will leave the Mission Valley Denny's at 6:00, meet up with my group at North County Fair, and proceed from there at 6:30 to Lake Henshaw. We'll join up there with vtec914 and any other latecomers, and head on out at 8:00 for the rest of the run.
Post your intentions, and I'll maintain the list here.

Sorry Ron but I won't be able to make it. I already made plans with some others to attend the Malibu run. Perhaps next time? or if it happens to get rescheduled. Thanks for taking the initiative on settin up this run! Hope you guys have fun and drive safely!

If you can make it early in the day I might be able to meet up with some of you guys since I am going to be in PQ for the week. I can meet up with some of you guys then head up to the Malibu get together...

We'll call this a scouting run and send a report, then schedule another run for the fall when temperatures come down again.
