San Diego Drag Racing - Friday 3/12
Anyone ever done the RaceLegal.com drag racing on Friday nights at Quallcomm?
http://racelegal.com
It's 1/8 mile not 1/4. They have it on some (most?) friday nights. They are having one this friday. I am thinking of going, just to see what I can do and what it's all about.
I know the S is not a drag car, but I figure it might be fun anyway.
Anyway, I wanted to see if anyone had been to this, and what they thought about it.

qualcomm is fun but it got expensive....like $20.00 now or something like that.
It also nets probably the worst 60ft times of any strip in California ( it IS afterall just a parking lot) I will be hitting up Carlsbad on the 13th, Carlsbad has it's good days and bad days for launching, but the worst launch @ Carlsbad is the best one @ Qualcomm

Yeah, RaceLegal at Qualcomm is really set up for the kiddies to go and play. There is an overwhelming amount of pimple-faced freshies at those events. If you want to show your car off as much as drive against a wide variety of rides, then go for it. They also charge just to go watch - not just to race. I don't know about Carlsbad, but it is surely a more "adult" crowd.
No offense to the little teenie boppers. We were them once, too!

Here's the link for Carlsbad:
http://carlsbadrags.tripod.com/
They have open "Street Drags" every Sat at 11am. You do need a helmet.
I think I'm going to go this Sat (03/13), just to see what I can do, and how my times match up to magazine times. I think it will be fun.
Anyone else up for it?

I'll be there, I'm going to give my little civic ONE LAST shot at the 1/4 before I sell it, look for an EBP SI missing a headlight, an interior, and a rear bumper
Hopefully the track will be having a good day, weather looks good, I just hope the red necks put a little work into it, last time I went after the rain and the damn thing was submerged
