Dork. It's not a rule. The Bible is not a rulebook.
Reminds me of Pirates of the Caribbean:

"The Pirate's code is more like a guideline, really"

Yes, Jesus was a radical.

You cannot pick and choose what is legit, but you need to understand
what the deal is too. Christianity relies on the new covenant, that of
the sacrifice of Christ to atone for their sins. The laws of the old
are the laws of the old covenant. What Christians put their faith in is
the deity of Christ and the atonement. Check out "statement of faith"
for any common Christian church (baptist, foursquare, protestant,
whatever) and you'll find that common thread.
I will say that Jesus got a bum deal.........from his Father, from the Roman Emperor and from the Jewish Pharisees.

Yes. It is my belief that God is smarter than all of us
(imagine that), and has a clue what might make us happy.
He left behind a guidebook to help us out. We can ignore the
guidelines, which does not condemn us necessarily (all have
sinned), but can make our lives harder...

Stuff like, "no cow shall walk on the left side of a highway when
the moon is in its second phase, unless said cow has an iron
sheet installed on its back with 7 rivets spaced 6 inches apart,
one per the left and one per the right" is probably not quite as
applicable these days, since cows all have iron sheets preinstalled
at the factory.

" " thats all i gotta say about this one.. opinions.. what does it really matter anymore.. no one gives a chit about mine, or the next one that comes along, any more than their care of their own. its only when someone sidelines with yours, or counters it, that we all get fired up for really, an opinion. so i say.. Yes.

Jesus himself said, before he died, "please take this cup from me, if it's your will" (he did not want to die on the cross).

But we reap the benefit of his sacrifice.

Opinions matter, Wendy. People vote, decisions are made, people
killed, people spared, friendships formed, enemies made... Based
on opinions..
