You aren't picking and choosing. God sent Jesus down the the world to be our savior. Jesus is also God though (trinity: Jesus, God, Holy Ghost or Spirit). For example sacrifices. No longer do you have to sacrifice a lamb for your sinces because Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross for all of our sins. (No that does not give us the right to do whatever we want.)

THAT is why I believe that MEN wrote the words as a fear mongering, keep everyone in line, tactic. They cared LITTLE about what the REAL GOD was all about.....
