That was pretty prejudiced......this nation was built on FREEDOM OF RELIGION and FREEDOM FROM RELIGION.

Sorry, but there's nothing NORMAL about being gay.
Fact is for humans to procreate they must mate male/female. THAT IS NORMAL for a species. Now on occasion a specimen of any species may lack the natural insticts that are needed for its survival. If it lacks the need to eat, it will die, if it lacks the need for shelter it may get sick and die, if it lacks the want of the OPOSITE sex it will seize to exist when it's lifetime is expired.
Therefor gay is not normal, it is an error of ...whatever sort you believe.
I believe we each have our own freedom of will. Some will choose to never express their sexual feelings no matter who they are towards. Some will choose otherwise. I feel personally that one who is gay should discourage themselves from sexual contact. However this is due to my personal religious beliefs. Now really what they do and the sins they commit are their own and I'm nobody to judge. That is the way of the bible. If I remember correctly while being hung on a cross he said "father forgive them for they know not what they do". Endless mercy.
Now as for our society. As I stated previously I do not mind a Gay UNION to legally bind them. HOWEVER, seeing a gay couple married in a church is HIGHLY OFFENSIVE TO ME. LET ME REPEAT... HIGHLY OFFENSIVE.
Now some of you don't care what is offensive to me. However I try to take the time to avoid offending others. I expect the same. Fact is it is clearly stated in the Christian religion that it is strictly forbidden. Not that being gay is forbidden lets not be foolish. Simply ACTING on it is. The bible recognizes CHOICE.
So, since majority of the US is Christian I am strictly against this.

It's an unfortunate statement of the sign of the times...
I wish there were perhaps two words... "married" (the traditional
use of the word) and .. something else. "partnered" or
"exclusive fudge-packing buddy" or something. One would clearly be
legal, while the other is religious.
Don't think it'll happen though.
We do have "common-law" though...
