S2K and Miata near North Long Beach mechanic shop
Hey all,
I mainly fooled around with my Miata, project car, and kept my s2k stock, daily driver. I did all my Miata mods solo and am at a comfortable point where I know enough about mods to know it can be PIA and rather pay the extra to have a shop do it right for the right price.
That said, does anyone recommend a shop that is experienced in s2k and Miata performance mod/repairs near the long beach area?
heard great things of ballade and evasive, but don't know their Miata experience....will be calling around but I'm just afraid shops may exaggerate experience just to get you to the door.
It would be nice to do one stop shopping for both my car needs under one shop.
Having drove my s2k stock for 7 years, I think its bout over due for a facelift
thx.

I'm in the Miata.net thread too and I honestly don't mind driving to separate shops for each car. Not looking to compromise quality just to save time on trips to shop.
For instance, I'm looking at a shop called integrated performance......Miata specialist. And their website shows a modded s2k so I'm kinda like "oh the mechanic know miatas and if that's his s2000 also then this could be a good fit. Then again his level of s2k knowledge may pale in comparison to the likes of ballade or evasive.
I read through the "positive and negative feedback" thread and theres a long list of "god/legendary" s2k tuners in the area.
the easy way out is to pick the best review 10/10 s2k guy and best 10/10 Miata guy and don't bother looking for the guy that does both at 9/10

Integrated Performance is good.
I take my si over there.
They do have a bunch of miatas in the shop and the owner drives a turbo one too. (Don’t know what year or much about miatas. lol )
Ive seen the orange s2000 there too and a lot of subarus.
