I am happy to place a call to the Burbank PD (I'm a Burbank Resident and found this particular location) to simply ask the rules for something like this.

They've always been very cool with residents (I've called for other questions) and I'd hate to gather everyone in a residential neighborhood (with a fantastic view) to only have it broken up or bs tickets for those of you w/out front plates, etc etc.

Again...I'm happy to call to make sure we stand a chance of being there long enough to not get attention.

Or we can just show up and shoot.
Thoughts?

Well I've been on the walnut trail( near starlight bowl) a few times and haven't been hasseled because there are very few homes but it'd be nice if you could find out so we could set the meet up ( Burbank pd isn't the friendliest). It would be interesting because I haven't really been to any meet like that n itd be a good opportunity
for some people to get to know each other. If you guys know any areas where we wouldn't get hasseled and it would be a nice spot to shoot it'll be good. Open to suggestions

Woolsey canyon up near chatsworth lake! It's a spot up near the Boeing test facility and there is a huge turnout that looks over the whole Valley facing east

Dill -- could you take a quick drive up there and take some reference pics?
I'll do the same for my spot, but it sounds like yours might better as it's not a residential area...
