Jrod thats awesome!

We should invite Sam to one of our meets. Give us some driving pointers, or even write a story on us for Road and Track. Maybe you could slip the question when you meet him next.
Rev, that's a GREAT idea!!

Oh yeah, Road and Track has written articles for Ferrari owners clubs and others. I think we need some celeberty flair to our meets. And get an awesome spot in a mag is not too shabby for S2ki.

I've seen Road and Track at Ralphs. If not that, try newspaper stands. I know two in west L.A. One on the corner of Robertson and Olympic next to the Walgreens, or the one on the corner of Santa Monica and Beverly Glen next to Coffee Bean. They have like evey mag imaginable. Lastly try mall bookstores like Borders or Barns and Nobles.

I agree with Sam! Pound for pound, price for price, cubic centimeters divided by horsepower, engineering, design. The S2000 is by far the best, period. IMhO.

I analyzed the results of the R&T article. They claimed the price points were proportional, but they were not. The 911 cost $58 K more, but only lost 32 points. If a true proportion was used, S2000 is No 1! I figured R&T used price to the 1/6 power! Yet I think that price impact should be squared the other way. 100 people can afford the S to only 10 that can buy a 911. With my system, the 911 would get 30 points for price.

Now look at the fuel economy. The Elise got 20 points and averaged 19.2 mpg, the S got 23.3 mpg and 14 points! I know it, was based on EPA ratings.

BTW, this is the March, 2005 issue, copper colored cover with photos of the 9 'Best' Sports Cars on the lower part of the cover.

Results:
1) C6 557.7
2) Box S 556.2
3) 911 Car S 550.8
4) Elise 545.2
5) S2000 543.4
6) Viper 532.9
7) Z4 3.0 529.5
8) 350Z 300 hp 526.3
9) SLK350 526.1

No, no...bike as in BIKE. I've only driven a moped, so do you think a Hayabusa is too much for me? I've already got a helmet. Shit...I can buy 2 bikes if I sell the S! I'd have bad hair everyday, though...

Of course...it IS R&T. I stick to Car & Driver (not so much for reviews...but I like their witty writing...plus, they love them some S2000 ) and MPH (reminds me to get a subscription).

I agree with you on preferring Car And Driver. The writing and their comparison tests I trust more. Remember Car and Driver put the S2000 as one of the 10 best for two years. Road and Track have the better designed mag though. I subscribe to both of them and I've thought so many times to stop Road and Track, but the pages are so pretty. lol
