Being in the intersection counts as running a red also.

Doesn't matters who's face is on there. The judge will ASK you who is driving yourcar. If its a friend, he will get the ticket.

Read up on this, it specifically states you don't have to answer the judge on who was driving, and for once the IDK answer works in court, you say it wasn't me driving, it coulda been friends....it could a been my mom I don't remember who I loaned my car to etc.

I would just say you dont "think" you were in that area at that time.


There's a whole website dedicated to this in our area I wish I could find it..... hunt around.

Not so. If you enter on the green or yellow you are good to go.

that exact thing happen to us like 6 months ago and we didnt received a thing in the mail..so i doubt they will give you a ticket...but if they do you can say that you couldnt see the light because of the truck.

Are you sure? I'm pretty sure you need to only enter the intersection before red...

A violation occurs when a motorist enters an intersection some time after the signal light has turned red. Motorists inadvertently in an intersection when the signal changes to red (waiting to turn left, for example) are not red light runners.
