is there a rep for carbotech on the forums? i mean not for the pads, but for the centric rotors "c-tek". i think these are NOT the premium versions as advertised on 949racing website.

well i'm going to be a noob at the track, so i wanted to know if experimenting with the stock system is fine at the streets of willow since it's considered a slower track. if pads are highly recommended, would ax6 hold up fine the first time around or should full on track pads be used? i'm talking about a beginner's point of view.

a transfer layer of material needs to be present for the carbotechs to work properly. if stock rotors were to be used with a swap of pads, does this mean that switching from track to stock pads would require rebedding?

jyeung: i searched some posts about centric c-tek rotors. i wanted to know if they weighed the same as stock brake rotors. are they the same or did the c-tek weigh a little more?

I'd do pads for anything more than daily driving honestly.

It's not "track pads" or "not"

Go get some aggresive pads like some Hawk's blue at least.

thanks jyeung.

i don't really want to change anything from stock before i hit the track since i want to find out what the car can do before i add anything else. however, the consensus is, get some pads and fluid and the track experience won't be limited to brake fade. perhaps just getting a set of rotors and aggressive pads would be sweet on the track while having a set of oem pads/rotors on tap just in case something happens. thanks guys.
