i dont quite know, id rather have a bike on the ht over a board, due to the aerodynamics, the bike would less likely put wind induced stress on the top then a board, the lip in the board would put a rediculious amount of stress on the top as the air channels up the hood and windshield under the board. i hauled 2 surfboards from SD to norcal one time on roof racks, we had to go 50 the whole time, AND the board were still bumping like 3-8" off the racks, and we used a bajillion tiedowns and bunjie cords and trash cords. it would do damage, unless you drive like 30mph, even then, not recommended. my dad had a bike rack for his mclaeren that worked well for bike and board, id reccomend something for your trunk like that.
