Nearly sounded sarcastic how you phrased this.

True, but I still wouldn't suggest it, I'm not concerned about hte mounting of the rack nor the weight of it on it's own.

However, a bike at 70mph with wind etc. and all that stress on the mounting system the S has.... it's essentially trying to rip the front clips out. They'll hold but I'd imagine squeaks and stuff will result perhaps.

It's probably just not a good idea. I suggest you keep ur speed really slow if you do this....

Something about attaching a bike to a roof that literally can come off the car just doesn't seem like a good idea.

I've done worse though.

This has nothing to do with what my thread is about so your logic means nothing.........

I would like to be the first to say Greg.........,,

I don't have a DD so I do take my S to BigBear when chains are not required and having a HT its impossible to get your board inside and if I do manage, there goes me being able to take a passenger along with me
trunk rack.

like miatas and other roadsters.

or just dont take the S snowboarding...

i never had an issue putting my 163 board in the passenger seat tho, with boots and all my gear inside the board bag
