i posted this question up in under the hood last week but got no love for whatever reason :[ . Hopefully someone here can answer it but exactly how much is it to replace the ring gear?

about 350 to 400 if you want it done right.

Cost of the ring gear.
Installation in the differential.
Installing in car.

It is proper to replace the pinion with the ring gear also.

Figure the cost of parts plus around $400-500 for installation.

this is right... i was assuming you were asking the cost to replace the gear (labor) but if you need the parts and stuff its going to be more of course. if you plan on doing anything else to the diff.. smaller gearing, lsd or anythign else.. i would do it all at once to save some money having to pay for labor more then once.
