I know this happens every few years but, I don't seem to recall the Tommy Trojan incident last year. What happened last year?

this usally doesnt happen as both school's mascots are heavily guarded... however last year ucla "cheated" by hitting usc one week EARLY (before rivalry week officially begins)

somehow ucla didnt guard the bear this year or just failed miserably, probably went to get a sandwich or something
