Default referral bonus!

So I referred a buddy of mine to the company where
I work, and they compensated me nicely. Approximately
to the tune of rims, coilovers, and a lip (give or take).
I'm thinking just OEM lip today.

So, I want to proceed logically, and not get myself into a
corner; if I lower the car, it'll affect which rims I can get,
and the rims will affect which tires, etc. Does it make
sense then to try to do rims and coilovers at the same
time? I'd like something like these:

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

One if not my personal favorite Brian. Wheels and suspension at the same time, then the lip. If you can only do one at a time, rims first. With the S1 3pce. make sure you get 18's.

The lip is just cosmetic and does not change the way the car drives. However, the rims and suspension will either improve your ride or make it sloppy. I have Volk GT7's 18" on stock suspension. It looks good IMO but it changed the ride for the worst. For everyday driving it's okay but for spirited driving I wouldn't recomend it at all. Stick with 17"'s if you like the characteristics of your car.

Argh!

* "Make sure you get 18's"
* "stick with 17's"
You guys are not making this easier..

I do like the current characteristics, but it's the only thing
I know right now--I have nothing to compare with...
Hmmm...

Of course 17's will possibly ride and respond better, hence the reason Honda and most car companies choose to release it with those specs. The thing is that with 17's it is more comfortable cause of the thicker tires too. I think S1 3 piece are great in 18's, and because it's a 17" face so the lip is 18 and will give an overall better look.

18" rims will rub once in a while... I hate it. Stock is good for everyday driving, even spirited driving. Although, I would like a set of Tein's...

Good Luck

Right offsets, good drop, no rub. i've been rollin' stocks since I bought the car right off the lot. I like the looks, but not the size. I can't appreciate subtleness the way some people can.

track day and a front lip ahem ahem , then you can decide on the characterstics of your car.

jk, well honestly, if you want something for just looking good, 18's is DEFINITELY the way to go. However, having owned 16's (stock ap1's), 17's (Advan RGII's), and 18's (Volk CE28n's), I can tell you that 17's feel a lot better than the 18's did during spirited driving. Not only does 18" wheels affect some handling and weight issues, but you will also have fewer tire options. I had somewhat aggressive offset wheels (sort of necessary if you want it to look good with 18's), and the wheels/tires would constantly rub against my fenders. It got to the point where it happened every 20sec on the freeway (terrible roads). I just didn't feel like rolling my fenders, so this was a no go.

Honestly, I would suggest 17's. At the end of the day, the S2000 is a sportscar, a mighty looking good sportscar imo, but unless you're going for show or don't really drive the crap out of your car, 18's aren't a good choice. On the other hand, 18's look beautiful on the car, but to me, I bought this car because it's performance is beautiful.

Thanks for all the comments! Yeah, I like the car to look nice, but I'm more about
driving it!! Maybe I should stick with 17's then. I'll get some spare 18's for
shows... NOT. (the bonus is not THAT big...)

wassup Ben?

Oh! So what about coilovers? Are there a lot of options, or is there a
these-are-perfect-for-your-S kind?

Dang, my post dropped to page 2 in less than 24 hours...
