RedlineTrackEvents @ Streets of Willow
Hi All,
RTE is back at the streets of willow on August 26 & 27!
This event will have tons of seat time and as always our driving school for drivers who want to get some extra help out on the track. We'll get you up to speed safely on a road course.
All the details can be found here: http://redlinetrackevents.com/event_streetsAug26_27.htm
You guys know the drill...
Let me know if you have any questions.
See you at the track.
Thanks,
Chris

Well, the short answer is SOW is located in Rosemond, CA. It's right off the 14 freeway just past Lancaster.
It's about a 90 min drive from LA.
The cost is $145.

"Convertibles allowed on track with roll bars. Some cars with factory roll protection are allowed at our events if they are equipped with a 4 point roll protection system. For Example a Honda S2000 has a 4 point factory roll protection system. Check with your car manufacture to determine the effectiveness of roll protection. Redline Events strongly recommends additional roll protection for all convertibles."
how cool is that?

I'm thinking about taking my new S2K out for this, but I'm new to auto trackdays.
- Do we need to do anything to prep the cars?
- What safety equipment is required?
- Are we broken out into groups by speed?
I've done some motorcycle trackdays, and there would typically be 3 groups. Group 1 for the fast riders allowing passing anywhere.
Group 2 for the intermediate riders allowing passing only on the outside.
Group 3 for the slow riders with no passing.
What's the layout of auto trackdays?
Thanks!

The layout is very similar to the motorcycle track days you've gone to before.
Three run groups, advance, intermediate, and beginner.
Passing is allowed in all three run groups, but the rules are different for each group.
Passing for our trackevents are on designated sections for the track, but the rule of thumb is that there is no passing under breaking or through any type of turn on the track.
I'm not sure were the $120 price came from. It's actually $145 for the day, or $250 for the full weekend event.
Let me know if you have any more questions.
