redlight camera ticket question
will i get a ticket in the mail?
This is what happened, i'm driving down South street while getting very close to Gridley the light turned yellow, (i pass the double white lines under yellow) and while i was in the intersection it turned red and flashed at me. I knew it flashed at me because i was the only car going that direction. now i was pretty much at the end of the intersection when i saw the flash (turned red). am i still in trouble? Has anyone got a ticket in the mail in this kind of situation?

If the dude who checks all the photos decides that you broke the law and are liable, then you will receive a ticket in the mail. I forgot exactly what is required, but I believe that if you are already in the intersection (defined as front wheels beyond the crosswalk line? )when it's yellow, you're ok. Someone check me on this?

I got one in January, the sent me the ticket mid-February in the mail. I was actually driving my dad's car so they sent it to him so I had to let them know it was not him. There should be a code on the ticket that you can go online and view the video. As long as they didn't get a clear shot of your face you might have a chance of getting out of it like my friend's wife.

They need a picture at the moment of red, to show you are outside the intersection, and an after shot of you inside the intersection. If your memory is correct then they wont have a picture of you outside the intersection at the moment the light turned red.
Don't worry, there are certain cameras that give a lot of erroneous pictures. I got snapped for turning right after a full stop...no ticket.

I was going straight through that intersection. S2Koupe thanks for the heads up on the right hand turn, i knew about the right hand turn on red already but it was too late for my mom, she didn't stop completely and received a ticket in the mail.
